Dubstep Tune (Unfinished)

Here's a new tune I've been working on recently for a bit of fun. It's a bit of glitchy dubstep made using Ableton and Massive (tutorial post here).

I don't really like dubstep that much any more, there's too much of it and what I've heard is really samey and cliched. But I have been wanting to make something for a while so thought I'd finally give it a go. It needs a bit more work but I'm liking the sound up to now even if it is a bit obvious.

Hoping to get it finished over the next week but my computer is playing up for some unknown reason. It's stopped recognising Massive on this one tune of mine which is quite annoying. Might have to start all over again (if i can be bothered). Anyway. Here's the unfinished version:

Hope you enjoy it!

    I love Massive
I torrent it and have been using it alongside Predator and Dubtron and stuff like that.

  12. I understand it's a bit glitchy, but there's a whole lot of potential hiding in that track.

  19. hey, serious question, what do you use to make your music? aka programs and physical instruments

  20. I never really liked the dubstep genre to listen to at home. It's just that dubstep party's are freaking awesome! I 've never seen a crowd move as ludacris as I've seen on a dubstep party, I loved it!

  21. I rather like that tune. Bassline's a little cheesy in terms of the actual notes but really sick in terms of the sounds used. And isn't that what really matters anyway?

  22. To be honest.. i was biased from the start, listened to it, didn't like it. But good for you for making music and actually contributing to society! Subbed!

  23. Not bad. Not bad at all. Do you have any experience with Mixcraft and Beatcraft? I've been hearing a lot of mixed reviews and I'm thinking about diving into those programs.

  24. Its slow, and quiet. Way different than all that same old dubstep. I like it.

I somehow stumbled upon your blog, but I'm really glad I did. I've been really wanting to get into making electronic music for a while now. I notice your page has tutorials on it, i havent looked at them yet, but I hope they'll help.

  32. This was neat, though dubstep is not really my thing. I'm impressed that you made some because its not so easy from what I understand.
